The Kalmthout municipality guides are all walking encyclopaedias and therefore highly-prized ambassadors. Most of them have an accredited qualification issued by the Flanders Tourism Board or a certificate provided by the Nature and Environmental Education Centre. Others have been separately trained via the Museum or the attraction with which they are involved. The number of participants per guide is limited to 25 during open air tours and generally 10 for indoor tours. The options also include tours for non-Dutch speakers !
