Located at the main entrance to the Kalmhout Moorland, De Vroente is one of the Flemish Authorities’ various Nature and Environmental Education Centres, while operating as the visitors’ centre for “De Zoom-Kalmhout Moorland” cross-border park (6000 ha in size), where hikers and nature lovers are welcome to ask any questions they may have.
A team of educators and guides is available to organise nature activities and educational tours for classes, youth groups, associations or companies. There is a pick n’ mix for each group but the emphasis is always on “first-hand” activities and experiences. Individual visitors are offered various interactive nature exhibitions free of charge during opening hours. Several activities are organised every year for the general public.
